Dyersburg State Community College is one of Dyer County's greatest assests. DSCC is known for its caring talented teachers who are dedicated to empowering its students for success. Approximately 3,750 students attend DSCC. Our size allows our faculty and staff to give you the attention you deserve while offering a variety of program and course options.

DSCC has agreements with area universities which ensure that the courses you take will easily transfer. Because DSCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), course credits transfer to all other accredited institutions.

DSCC offers both daytime and evening classes. In addition, you can take courses online to fit your own schedule. DSCC offers three different types of online learning opportunities--DSCC online courses, hybrid courses and the Regents Online Degree program (RODP).

Students of all ages attend DSCC. In fact, the average age of a DSCC student is 25.

To complement coursework, DSCC offers a wide variety of student life experiences including service learning, athletics, study abroad, honors, theater, choir, orchestra, and organizations. These out-of-class experiences bring together people, programs and events that greatly contribute to the college experience and enhance learning.

High school students who are eligible for DSCC's Advanced Studies program can take college courses and many receive both high school and college credit. The Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant, available to eligible high school students,
