DESCRIPTION:Our local Daylight Donuts will serve donut holes with purple icing in early celebration of World Polio Day. This project symbolizes the purple pinkies painted on children who receive polio vaccinations twice a year in countries where the threat of polio remains high. Pinkies are painted with a permanent marker to let both locals and medical personnel know that child has received a vaccine and is likely to never contract polio! All proceeds raised on this day will be donated by Daylight Donuts and given to the Dyersburg Breakfast Rotary Club and donated to the efforts of polio eradication.
