DESCRIPTION:Trimble will be lined up with classic cars\, vendors and live entertainment next weekend.\n \n\nMichael Ballard's Full Throttle S'loonshine Distillery 2nd Annual Car Show is scheduled for June 5-6. Last year\, more than 500 vehicles were on display for community members and out-of-towners.\n\nBrian Howe of Bad Company will entertain the crowd on Saturday. Bad Company is currently on their "25th Anniversary Holy Water Tour." Other live acts include Powder Mill\, T.R. Crooks\, Funky Finger and Little Boy Blue.\n\n"We will have top-notch entertainment\," Event Coordinator Alan Blankenship said. "This is a rain-or-shine event."\n\nThe family-oriented two-day event will feature more than 18 vendors and plenty of food.\n\n"Everything is free\," Blankenship said. "This will definitely continue to be an annual event. Michael wants to make Trimble a tourism hotspot. It should be a good time."\n\nLast year\, the event featured 6\,500 people and Blankenship said he expects a big crowd this year. Car show registration hours will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday\; the car show award ceremony will be from 5-6 p.m. June 6.\n\nLive entertainment will be offered from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.\n\n"Saturday will definitely be the bigger day\," Blankenship said. "Vendors will be completely set up around 5 p.m. on Friday."\n\nJ.R. Drake of the Discovery Channel's hit television series "Rebel Road" will be attending the event. Tours will be available at the distillery and the tasting room will be opened. Miss Vicki's Diner will also be open for customers.\n\n"Drake will bring some vehicles and be doing autographs\," Blankenship said. "Michael will have two drag-strip cars he sponsors at the event and his antique Mercury."\n\nWhile it has not been finalized yet\, he said he is in the works of getting a wrestling act booked for the weekend.\n\nBesides this event\, he said Michael Ballard plans to do three or four events in Trimble a year. "The first week of June will always be the car show\," Blankenship said. "We have events scheduled for late summer and early fall."\n\nVendor and car registration is currently available.
