DESCRIPTION:Car enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy more than 70 classic vehicles on display in Southtown this weekend.\n \n\nThe Southtown Flood Celebration Car Show will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Omni Tech Manufacturing in Dyersburg. The event will feature music\, food and more.\n\n"It's all about building up Southtown\," Jimmy Deese\, the event organizer\, said. "It will be a good place for family fun."\n\nThe Southtown Celebration was an annual event until 2010\, when festivities were canceled due to flooding.\n\n"Everyone has been trying to recover from the flood\," said Deese. "It devastated a lot. This is our first year back and we hope to make it an annual event again."\n\nDeese's Southtown business\, Omni Tech Manufacturing\, suffered more than $1 million in damage due to the flood.\n\n"We are proud to be back and have people getting together in the area\," he said.\n\nArea musicians The Big River Band and Genre will be providing entertainment for the daylong event.\n\nCar lovers from Arkansas\, Missouri and Kentucky will be bringing in vehicles to be examined and judged by a panel.\n\nThe car show is free and participants have until noon on Saturday to bring in their ride.\n\nThe top 30 finalists will be awarded $50 and peers will vote on a "Best in Show\," for a prize of $200.\n\nA car lover himself\, Deese will have two 1955 Ford vehicles for community members to admire.\n\nHamburgers and hotdogs will be grilled for hungry community members to eat while at the event.\n\n"The Dyersburg 4-H Club will provide a duck-call contest for kids to enjoy\," said Deese. "I think that will be fun. We are donating our time to help them do this."\n\nAll proceeds from the celebration will benefit Habitat for Humanity.\n\nDeese said he expects a good turnout for the festivity.\n\n"The weather is supposed to be great for it\," he said. "It should be a great day of food\, music and fun."
