Each year on the Saturday before Easter, Main Street Dyersburg hosts area children to a grand Easter egg hunt on the Courthouse lawn. Former Mayor Richard Hill was instrumental in making sure all children were invited to participate in the event. The Easter egg hunt was eventually named Mayor Hill’s Easter Egg Hunt. Mayor Chris Young wants to continue the tradition and invites all children ages newborn to eight years of age to participate on April 4th at 1:00 p.m. Age categories will be assigned to the four quadrants of the Courthouse lawn and children will gather 4000 eggs for candy and prizes. The event is free.
